Jen and Yasu wrote a perspective entitled “Mycobacterial Membrane Domain, or a Primordial Organelle?”, published in the Yale Journal of Biology and Medicine. We focused mainly on our own work in this perspective, trying to summarize what we have learned and what our future directions are.
