This WordPress site demonstrates one possible structure for a course assignment where students in a seminar contribute essays as blog posts. From the Admin Dashboard “Users” screen, each student is added with the role of Editor (if the instructor allows them self-publish), or with the role of Contributor (if the instructor wishes to hold the posts for review before publishing).

On Blogs at UMass Amherst, only members of the campus community can be added as a User and assigned a role.
