Steering Committee: The Steering Committee is composed of lead principal investigators (PIs) and Co-PIs and provides a forum for convergence in project themes. Each member will be informed and work with the PIs, Co-PIs, and CABs to design and maintain an effective and flexible communications and management framework that ensures equity between committee members. We plan to do this while fostering an inclusive structure following our guiding principles that allows relationships to grow between the investigators lending towards the convergence process. The Steering Committee will meet via zoom biweekly and in person whenever possible. The Steering Committee will meet with the CABs quarterly or as needed to share concerns and observational results. It will also lead efforts to incorporate both Indigenous and western ways of knowing in the production of educational and outreach components with the schools and community. This will open wider the opportunity for western scientists to learn about the Indigenous Education Philosophy and IK bearers the opportunity to learn about western science.
