Chasya Church Brokk Toggerson

Our research focuses on practical issues regarding understanding our TBL implementation. Some of our current questions are:

  • What is the status of the gender gap that typically plagues introductory physics courses in our TBL implementation?
  • How is a student’s performance affected by the number of weak vs. strong students in their team?
  • For some topics the TBL experience was dominated by problem solving while other topics were more laboratory-based. Are there significant differences between these approaches?

Chasya Church and Brokk Toggerson are exploring these questions by analyzing data collected throughout the semester imported into python pandas.
