Description: This demonstration shows what happens to the surface when you put a drop of soap in water.
Equipment:
- Large glass container
- Pepper
- Soap
- Overhead projector
- Water
Setup Procedure:
- Fill the container with water and place on the overhead project along with the other supplies.
Demonstration Procedure:
- Turn on the projector.
- Sprinkle some pepper into the bowl and focus the overhead projector.
- Note that the pepper floats on the entire surface of the water.
- Put a drop of soap in the center and notice the pepper moves to the edges.
