Alum Dan Kodroff now a Chamberlain Fellow at LBL

Former post-bac research assistant Dan Kodroff is now a postdoctoral Chamberlain Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley Lab (LBL) in California. Dan graduated from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania. He came to UMass in August 2017 to boost his research skills in view of his graduate studies. At UMass, Dan learn the tricks of operating a liquid xenon detector, which he carried with him to graduate school. Dan completed a PhD in physics at Penn State in 2023 searching for Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) dark matter with the LZ experiment under the mentorship of Prof. Carmen Carmona. Dan continues his work with LZ and beyond at LBL as one of only four 2023 Chamberlain Fellows.

Well done, Dan!
