How to Apply

Step One.

Check your eligibility.

  • Psychology major OR minor
  • A GPA of 3.0 or better
  • At least 9 credits in psych courses
  • At least sophomore status in Spire 

Step Two.

Fill out the national application, which can be found on the website here.

Step Three.

Fill out our local chapter application, which you can download here: UMass-Psi-Chi-Application-Form.  Once completed, please email the application to psichiumass@umass.edu.

The deadline for submitting applications is February 1, 2026.  Once your application has been reviewed, you will be notified by email.

Step Four.

Once you have received an email that your application has been approved, you should then pay the one-time membership fee of $80.

Psi Chi Central Office Membership Fee:          $55
UMass Amherst Chapter Fee:                           $25
Total Due:                                                            $80

Step Five.

Congratulations, you’re all set! The induction ceremony will take place in Spring 2026. Details will be emailed to all inductees once plans are in place.
