My name is Paige Warren. I am the organizer of this discussion group and Assistant Professor in the Department of Natural Resources Conservation at UMass-Amherst. My research focuses broadly on urban ecosystems, from issues along urban-rural interfaces to the ecology of dense metropolitan regions. I’m hosting this discussion group to help myself and others across campus to stay abreast of current work in applied ecology and conservation biology. I aim to provide a forum for graduate students, postdocs, and faculty to have productive, lively, and respectful discussions focused on current work in prominent journals, such as Conservation Biology, Biological Conservation, and Ecological Applications.
This serves as an online forum for a weekly journal club focused on conservation biology and applied ecology.
