Our one week in Dublin was fantastic. I think one of my favorite things during the week was our visit to Trinity College and their students. I really enjoyed listening to the students and their experiences especially their own specific research studies they did. It was amazing to see how excited they were to be a part of the education system and getting into the workplace like Google and Facebook headquarters and broadening their workplace talents.
I’m so glad to have been able to experience perspectives with them and experiences. I think the work that Trinity is doing is amazing and should be put into place all over the world in every university.
I also learned a lot during horseback riding on Friday. The instructor explained to us how riding horses is very therapeutic for people with disabilities. The natural movement strengthens their muscles and helps also relax them. He was explaining how he had a young boy come with anger issues and every day he would brush one horse. After just doing this for 20 minutes a day, after a week there were significant changes in his attitude and behavior through every day life.
