Conference and CPRD
Day one of the conference is complete!! There are so many influential people in this conference and it is quite remarkable to be here with everyone. There was one specific interviewer that I felt I understood the best and also related to very well. Disability in Dublin
The group seminars this week it made me realize how much research can be done base do the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. We first heard from Susie and Christine on disability research at UCD. The amount of information they gathered was impeccable and it was overwhelming to find how much hard evidence they have and how little is being done to change their low statistics of individuals with disabilities that aren’t employed. Welcome to Ireland!!
Ireland is GRAND!! Everyone here is very friendly and upbeat which is definitely a positive switch up from Massachusetts. On the first day we arrived Abbey, Sam Amber and I ventured out to town, traveling through the cobblestone pathway (very inaccessible) and ended up in a pub for lunch. The server obviously noticed we were Americans and asked why we were “on holiday.” After explaining our studies we came to find out that the barter was very interested in what we were doing because his brother has a disability.
