Aline Gubrium is Associate Professor of Public Health at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. A cultural/medical anthropologist by training, Dr. Gubrium’s work focuses on exploring the narrative and sensory dimensions of sexual health and well-being. She is currently conducting two large research projects, one recently funded by the National Institutes of Health (NICHD), and the second funded by the Ford Foundation. Both examine and address issues of public health and sexual health inequity by using participatory digital methods, including digital storytelling.
