Influences of stigma

Influences of stigma and other community features on health and interventions
This research examines associations between stigma and discrimination and health outcomes.  In the past, we have examined individual experiences with discrimination.  At present, we are most interested in examining structural forms of stigma (e.g., residential segregation, negative community attitudes), as well as other community-level factors (e.g., poverty, unemployment rates) and how these affect health outcomes and the efficacy of interventions for improving health.
