The government of the city of Buenos Aires launched an initiative to promote study abroad. UMass students who study in Buenos Aires will have the possibility of completing an internship within a city office. There are many offices that seek interns, among others are 

  • External Commerce and Investment Promotion
  • Housing Institute
  • Strategic  Management and Institutional Quality
  • Innovation and Open Government
  • Environmental Protection Agency
  • Health; Urban Development and Transport
  • Secretary of Housing and Social Integration
  • Sub-Secretary of Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism
  • General Direction of Family Development

This program is open to  Spanish majors who have completed the Advanced Language Preparation for the major. In addition, you must be enrolled in a study abroad program in Argentina for the academic semester of spring 2020 as the one we sponsor, but make sure you plan with IPO at least six months before your departure.
