Textbook and Homework

A WileyPlus online homework account is required for this course. Your homework assignments and quizzes will be done through this WileyPlus account based on the text:

Introductory Statistics, by Prem S. Mann, 10th edition, Wiley.

You do not need to purchase a hard copy of the textbook. WileyPlus comes with a digital copy of the textbook.

Due dates for homework will be posted on the WileyPLUS page and Canvas. 

WileyPLUS Registration:

 Detailed instructions are in the course policies document posted on the Canvas page. WileyPlus will operate on a PC or a Macintosh computer.

You can register on WileyPLUS without a discount code, and you would be able to check out as normal.

  • If you are unsure you will stay registered in the course past the add/drop period or you need a little more time to purchase the long-term code, you should choose this option. You can register for a temporary account for the first 14 days of the semester. If you decide to stay in the course past the add/drop period, you must purchase and register via your own code. All your work under the temporary account will be transferred to your new account.  Remember: if you choose to use the temporary account, it will expire after 14 days, and you will be shut out of WileyPLUS unless you register again with your own (purchased) code.
  • If you know you will stay in the course past the add/drop period, you should simply purchase your own code immediately, follow the instructions on Canvas.
  • If you repeat the course, you don’t have to pay again.

Software

You need to have either a Windows or Mac computer to access Minitab. we have complimentary access to Minitab. You will still get a separate code for the Minitab access.

Calculator

A  calculator is recommended for the proctored exams and course (any calculator will be fine)
