Dr. Rosie Helps the Animals (Spanish/English bilingual edition available) is an informational
fiction STEM book based on and informed by real-world veterinarians and scientists.
In this seminar, participants will be introduced to a variety of ways this picture book can be
used to authentically address NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) and foster scientific inquiry. Participants will take back to their classroom, strategies for inquiry-based science, ready-to-use lessons, and a new picture book about a little girl aspiring to become a veterinarian. This seminar includes both content and pedagogy for recertification purposes.
