Ok…just trying the Add Media button to link to a PDF already in the Media Library: syllabus.pdf.  Whah. All it did was stick in the name of the file- but not a hyperlink to it.

So, we’ll try uploading and inserting using Add Media: AugWorkshops. Oh no!  Samre problem.

The solution, Add media, upload or find a file in the Media Library, (click show if needed), make sure to click the File URL button (a URL for the file will be generated. Click Insert into Post.

When linking to a PDF from offsite (say, on UDrive) (Here’ s Word doc on Special Characters) you are putting the URL in manually anyway, so there’s no problem.
