This is a link to a page on YouTube made using the link button in the toolbar. Not too engaging:
Easy Embed
This is an embedded you tube video. For this you can simply paste the YouTube PAGE URL. (Do not use not the “share” link to get the “embed code” from the YouTube page—it will be stripped out by WordPress.)
Embed and set dimensions: VImeo
If you use the YouTube, Vimeo or other button, it pretty much does the same thing, except you can also choose a size:

Upload/Insert Media
If you use the Upload/Insert Media button for video, above the toolbar, it will not play the video on your blog, but will simply link to it (just like the first method on this page):

Embed and set dimensions: Vimeo
Here’s some time lapse shots of earth from the space station with the width and height set very large—600h x 800w. In some themes, this will be too wide and break the layout. Here, we sneak by only because there are no widgets this far down the page.
