After a discussion with the Microbiology Graduate Student Group (MGSG) at UMass, the following changes will be made to PVMS:
1. PVMS will not occur in 2025 due to lack of available leadership.
2. PVMS will occur in 2026 as we have at least two students interested in chairing the committee.
3. Considering the small graduate student body in our department and the limited scope of PVMS, the symposium will become a biennial event. After 2026, the next edition will be in 2028.
