Postdoc Position Available Now

The Chen Wang lab at Univ. of Massachusetts-Amherst has a postdoctoral associate position open to work on bosonic quantum error correction with microwave photons.  The position is set to start as soon as spring 2024.

For young Ph.D. graduates with strong academic credentials, this is a great opportunity to join one of the most exciting/promising research fields, learn advanced experimental techniques and produce impactful research results. Prior expertise in one or more areas related to superconducting quantum computation is desirable, such as low-temperature transport, microwave electronics, nano-fabrication, and quantum control techniques.

Please contact Chen Wang at cwang at umass.edu if interested.

Prospective graduate students:  Our research activity is intrinsically very multi-faceted, covering fabrication, cryogenics, microwave engineering, complex measurements and analyses, and of course, quantum theories.  It makes an excellent all-around training for motivated graduate students while providing an entry to a rapidly growing academic and industrial arena of quantum information.  External applicants are encouraged to apply via the Graduate Admission at UMass.

Prospective undergraduate students:  There are lots of opportunities for motivated undergrads to complete small projects that are integrative to our research.
