Riley Lab researchers Laura Snow and Tamara Turk each received a $1,000 research grant for the spring semester of 2024. This grant was provided by the UMass Commonwealth Honors College (CHC) in support of their innovative microbiology research. These grants will go towards the research of Team SutUReSelf, which is focused on developing a nisin-coated suture for use in veterinary surgery as an alternative to currently used antibiotic sutures.
