About Adam

I am a senior lab member working on my Masters in Microbiology at UMass who has been part of the Riley Lab since Fall 2021. I have been part of the CURE Program and an apprentice on Team Acinetobacter with former lab member Hadley Beauregard where we targeted Acinetobacter with bacteriocin based treatments. Following this I began leading my own team, Team Pathways, based on understanding the genes responsible for nisin inhibition in Gram-negative bacteria. I became the team leader of Team Gram Negative where wide scale screening of Gram-negative pathogens against the bacteriocin nisin was performed and a manuscript written. Now I am the Lab Manager, where I deal with running the day to day in the Riley Lab, and am also an independent contractor at Organicin Scientific focusing on novel treatments for bacterial infections.
