About Adam

I am a senior lab member who has been part of the Riley Lab since Fall 2021 and has since been in the CURE Program and an apprentice on Team Acinetobacter with former lab member Hadley Beauregard where we targeted Acinetobacter with bacteriocin based treatments. Following this I began leading my own team, Team Pathways, based on understanding the genes responsible for nisin inhibition in Gram-negative bacteria. I became the team leader of Team Gram Negative where wide scale screening of Gram-negative pathogens against the bacteriocin nisin was performed and a manuscript written. Now I am the Lab Manager, where I deal with running the day to day in the Riley Lab, and I am also the team leader for Team Microbiome which focuses on developing a treatment to acne that targets just the acne causing bacteria but does not compromise the skin’s rich microflora.
