Seismic Modeling Packages

Seismic modeling software available at CGISS

The follow table lists the available software for modeling seismic data. Much software is in SeisUn*x from the Center for Wave Phenomena at Colorado Shool of Mines. The SeisUn*x software is easy to use within their system. Another easy-to-use package of forward modeling tools is in ProMAX®. The ProMAX® interface is convenient once you are familiar with it. Both the SeisUn*x and ProMAX® packages allow for further processing within their system. Finally, there are several standalone codes available that are more difficult to use because of the sparse documentation and lack of a smooth user interface.
