Educating for Democracy in a Partisan Age is a great article about media literacy and young people’s political decisions. The researchers underline that the media literacy skill is more important than having political knowledge when youths make decisions. They argue that even if the people have the political knowledge they tend to believe the news which is consistent with their political worldview. However, young people with media literacy experience were successful to understand the problems in the presented news.
