October is LGBTQ+ History Month! Join author Sarah Prager as she shares fascinating stories from LGBTQ+ history you’ve never heard before. We’ll learn why LGBTQ+ matters, how far back it goes, how it has shaped the world, and who some of the most interesting individuals from it are.
About the speaker:
Sarah Prager is the author of four books on LGBTQ+ history for youth. Her young adult book, Queer, There, and Everywhere: 23 People Who Changed the World, received numerous distinctions including three starred reviews and being named a 2017 Best Book for Teens by the New York Public Library and a new expanded edition will be released on June 6, 2023. Rainbow Revolutionaries: 50 LGBTQ+ People Who Made History, Kind Like Marsha: Learning from LGBTQ+ Leaders, and A Child’s Introduction to Pride, each also share the stories of LGBTQ+ historical figures for ages 4 – 18. Sarah has presented on LGBTQ+ history to over 200 audiences across eight countries, including two U.S. embassies.
