LEGO Playgroup

Calling all LEGO masters!
The UMass Autism Acceptance Awareness Club and the Developmental Disabilities and Human Services program invite you to a drop-in LEGO building group.
New to the group? Register here.
Returning to the group? Tell us when you’re coming.
Who is invited?
These groups were designed with neurodivergent and disabled children in mind, but all children are welcome. Children in pre-school through grade 8 are invited. Children will break out into different spaces based on age.
What should I bring?
Please bring a water bottle (a refill station is available) and a snack (optional). There are designated spaces for children to take a break from the LEGO group and eat a snack.
What will I be doing?
Caregivers are welcome to play with their children, but there will also be a separate space set up with coffee, tea, and snacks. There is ample relaxation and workspace throughout the building if you would prefer some alone time. Once we get to know your child, you may also be able to drop them off, provided you are reachable by phone in the event of an emergency.
Who is staffing this?
Student volunteers from the Autism Acceptance Club, the Developmental Disabilities and Human Services program, and other campus groups will be there. Each room will have multiple staff. One to one support is available for those who need it. A faculty supervisor will be on site during all play groups.
When are the playgroups?

We meet in Furcolo Hall at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. The physical address is 813 North Pleasant Street, Amherst, MA.
