The discussion will include examples of how the presenter has applied neurodiversity theory to make her collaboratory work increasingly neurodiversity-affirmating.
About the speaker

Elizabeth Kilgallon (she/her) is an autistic PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, mentored by Dr. Abbey Eisenhower. Elizabeth’s research focuses on neurodiversity-affirming practices in educational and clinical settings, actively challenging ableism and sanism through her academic work and clinical practice as a graduate clinician. She acts as a coach to teachers in a neurodiversity-affirming professional development program and has co-designed didactic trainings for educators, clinicians, and teachers across a variety of research projects to promote neurodiversity-affirming approaches.
