Can I book the group for an event?
Absolutely! You can reach out to us at dynamicsacappella@gmail.com, and we can work together to iron out the details.
Please let us know the date, time, location, and how many songs you would like us to perform, as well as if you have certain song preferences based on our repertoire.
How do I join UMass Dynamics?
Auditions take place at the beginning of every semester, with more specific details posted on our social media as the audition season approaches.
What is the audition process like?
All you need to do is prepare a verse and chorus of a song of your choice (preferably not musical theater). When you arrive, there will be a spot for you to sign in, and you will be brought in on a first-come, first-served basis. The overall process is very quick, and you should be in and out within about three to five minutes!
We’ll let you know when you should expect to hear back from us about callbacks and we will go from there!
Do I have to be a music major to be in the group?
No, you don’t! Our group has a wide range of majors, such as biology, marketing, journalism, computer science, Japanese, and more.
How often do you meet?
We rehearse three times a week, with our schedule varying every semester. We adjust it depending on each member’s individual schedule, and we do our best to accommodate everyone!
We also host concerts, and perform on campus, at private events, and throughout our community.
