ECoGSS Code of Conduct
As an effort to make ECoGSS a safe and inclusive space for our department, the organizing committee has developed the ECoGSS Code of Conduct. We expect all symposium attendees to adhere to this code.
Accessibility Information
The UMass Amherst Design Building is fully accessible from both entrances. There are gender-neutral restrooms throughout the building, including one near room 162. If you need childcare for the symposium, please be sure to include that information in our RSVP form. Lactation space is available in the Design Building — please see a volunteer at the Registration Table for more information. If you need additional accommodations or access, please reach out to us at ecogss@umass.edu.
Inclusive ECoGSS
We have made efforts to increase the inclusivity of ECoGSS, including:
- Working with Disability Services to ensure physical accessibility of the Design Building
- Providing large print and print alternatives for our program and abstract hand-outs
- Using live-captioning during oral presentations
- Working with Student Parent Programs to arrange family-inclusive spaces
- Providing space on name tags for pronouns and preferred names
- Offering diverse food options
If you have comments, concerns, or suggestions about what we can do better, please email us at ecogss@umass.edu. Thank you for helping to make our student symposium safe and inclusive!
