4.2 Learning Activity 2: AR Lesson Plan Design

In your research you probably noticed that the most successful AR learning experiences place the bulk of the learning in the hands of the student. In order to use AR in meaningful way it is important that you allow space in the lesson for students to be curious and explore the technology on their own. Keep this in mind as you design your lesson and consider using AR to evolve your practice and create a more student-centered classroom.

Activity Objective: Create an original student-centered lesson plan using AR tools for both instruction and assessment.

Learning Activity Instructions

  1. Create a lesson plan (using the lesson plan template) that incorporates one of these apps.
  2. Try out your lesson/activity/unit with students
  3. Share out the link to your plan on Twitter using the hashtags #ARVR3D and#ARVRinEDU. Feel free to include videos or images of student work and reflections in your posts as well!

Congratulations! Once you’ve completed this module, you should possess the skills needed to try out Augmented Reality (AR) in your classroom.
