Zayn is a queer South Asian hard femme of color (and self-described ‘dad’)–finding belonging where she can, oscillating fiercely between different borders, between different worlds because home isn’t just one place. She is a third year Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies and Philosophy double major at UMass Amherst and currently co-CLPP Student Group Coordinator. As a scholar activist she is interested in new media studies, queer theory, transnational feminist praxis, and practicing anti-racism within communities of color. When she isn’t doing work, you can find her drinking tea, consuming far too much media, and trying to love in her own awkward, radical way.
