Welcome to the Environmental and Water Resources Engineering program at The University of Massachusetts Amherst’s College of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Our goal is to become the global leader in EWRE research, teaching, and student experience while maintaining an environment where everyone can thrive.

What is Environmental and Water Resource Engineering?
Broadly, we care about water quality, water quantity, and water systems. Our students and faculty are world leaders in both basic and applied research, and we study everything from UV light emitting nanotubes to satellites for hydrology. We welcome like minded scholars interested in pushing the boundaries of what we know about and can do about water in research, service, and entrepreneurship.
