Letter to our community
The Diversity/Inclusion/Pedagogy seminar exists to provide a forum for discussion and exploration of the structural bigotry, sexism, racism, ableism, and all oppressive systems present in our academic domains, our universities, and our society. We want to affirm unconditionally that Black Lives Matter. The murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, Tony McDade, and the so many others whose names we know and don’t know, reveal in stark terms that the foundational racism of this country still permeates our society. We must all commit, and constantly recommit, to actively being anti-racist.
Please read our full letter here, which includes resources and calls to action.
