The More-Than-Human World Part 1: Aphro-Ism

For next week we are reading a short section from the book Aphro-ism: Essays on Pop Culture, Feminism, and Black Veganism from Two Sisters. The readings are up on Perusall, so please add comments and questions as you read.

The book is written as a series of essays that were a conversation between the two sisters, Aph and Syl Ko. The document up on Perusall is only 13 pages long put combines several sections: the Forward written by decolonial Black feminist theorist Dr. Breeze Harper, then 3 chapters written by Aph & Syl, and the author bio page. 

This reading will be the first week of a 2 week section on the more-than-human world, and how the oppression of animals and nature is intrinsically linked to the oppression of humans.
