Intro to Grant Searching for International Students

Many external grants or fellowships are restricted to US citizens or permanent residents, which poses a particular challenge to international students searching for external funding opportunities.

This session is tailored for graduate students and postdocs who are not US citizens or permanent residents to introduce basic search tips and tools. Come to dispel myths about international student funding (yes, there are NSF grants you can apply for!), learn about grant databases, and discuss strategies for planning and success in crafting a grant.

This event is co-sponsored by the Office of Professional Development, International Programs Office, Indian Student Association, and Graduate Women in STEM. Please pre-register here.

Bring your questions and experience, and GWIS and ISA will provide a lunch!

When: Sept. 16th 2015 from 12:30-2
