This fall we are looking for departments who would like to have someone from Academic Computing come to you and talk to faculty and graduate students about the teaching technologies available on campus. In particular, we think new faculty or graduate student instructors would find these sessions helpful.
Are you and your colleagues interested in learning more about teaching technologies on campus? Perhaps you’ve heard about tools like UDrive or SPARK, but are not quite sure what they are there for? Interested in putting materials online for students but not sure what tools to use? Want to see what is happening across campus with faculty uses of podcastings and digital video?
We can come to all or part of a departmental meeting. We can also tailor the presentation to provide a short overview of various services, or focus on specific technologies your groups wants to hear more about. Popular topics for these presentations include: an overview of teaching technologies provided by OIT, a preview of the SPARK Learning Management System, and a survey of “Emerging Technologies” being used on campus.
