This December Academic Computing is offering several workshops that will be useful to instructors considering what technologies you might use next semester. Take a break from writing and grading finals to join us for coffee or tea and cookies to talk about tools you might use in the Spring semester!
Putting Materials Online: Which tool to use?
Are your students asking for class materials to be posted online? There are many ways to do this at UMass, including UDrive, SPARK, Blogs, and “traditional” Web sites. In this workshop we will show you short demonstrations of each tool, discuss its advantages and disadvantages, and help you decide which tool best fits your needs.

Overview of Emerging Technologies
There are many new technologies that can be applied to teaching and learning. In this workshop, we will give you an overview of the latest tools and how they can be applied to different teaching goals. Special focus will be given to Virtual Worlds, Digital Storytelling, and Collaborative Editing Tools.
