Bak is a performing arts school. The students go through an audition process to be accepted into the school and then select majors to study during their time here. The majors include dance, strings, theater, visual arts, vocal, band, keyboard, and communications.

On average each student will take 4 academic classes (Civics, Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science), 2 major classes (what ever their major is), and 2 elective classes. We run on block scheduling (90 minute classes), so we have odd and even days: period 2,4,6,8 on one day and then 1,3,5,7 on the next.

Enrollment: 1359

For the school year of 2012-2013 the student enrollment was 1359. These students come from all over Palm Beach County (2,386.33 square miles). Palm Beach  County has 38 municipalities in total, just over 150 public schools, and approximately 1,356,545 people as of the 2010 census. These students travel by bus, train, and car to get to and from school.
