Our collaborator’s work on peptidoglycan precursor synthesis was officially published in eLife. This paper uses cutting-edge technologies to detect peptidoglycan precursors in vivo and in vitro, and demonstrates the sidewall peptidoglycan synthesis in response to cell wall damage.
