James presented his poster “Spatial Organization of Novel Septal Protein with Membrane Domains in Mycobacterium smegmatis” at the Massachusetts Undergraduate Research Conference.

Hiro Kado arrived in Amherst today to join the Morita/Siegrist mycobacteria research labs! Hiro received his PhD in the Kitasato University in Japan and came to join us with postdoctoral fellowship from the Uehara Memorial Foundation. Welcome!

Kathryn’s final doctoral examination was held today. The title of her thesis seminar was “Regulation of Lipomannan and Lipoarabinomannan Biosynthesis in Mycobacteria”. Kathryn successfully defended her thesis. Congratulations!!
