We study the unique multi laminar cell envelop of mycobacteria. Our research aims to answer these simple questions about this complex structure: how it is synthesized? How it is maintained? How it is elongated? We use a combination of biochemical and molecular biology techniques to interrogate hardy actinomycetes.
