Spotifynding My Way

As a first-time off-campus student, every part of my new life seems novel, but as the weeks progress, I’ve realized that some parts really are out of the ordinary. As my particular living situation is leaseless, carless, away from my friends, and with live-in landlords, my experience calls for a breakdown. (pun intended) Each week I will be focusing on one component of my off-campus life that strikes me (and potentially a lot of other students who might already live off campus, or are preparing to) as unconventional, and I’ll be pairing each feature with a funky song that ties into that week’s content and has helped me get a grip as I navigate the strange world outside of the UMass campus.

 

Learn a bit and gain a growing compilation of great songs, sparked by my first experience out of the dorms. After all, an adventure isn’t complete without the right soundtrack.
