Under exams, where the sections covered by exam 3 are listed, there is a section included that discusses rotational kinetic energy. This is not something that we went over in lecture. Should I be familiar with rotational kinetic energy for Wednesday?

Are calculators only to be set on radians when the problem involves angles?

Should the calculator be set to degrees for the majority of problems on the exam?

Yes, for oscillations you need to set your calculator in radians. This is relevant only when you use the trigonometry functions (like cos and sin).

Remember also that to calculate the maximum speed and acceleration, you need to use “pi” = 3.1416 which is a number in radians.

Professor, will you be activating the hints for the Mastering Physics practice exam? It would be so helpful to be able to use hints!

    Thank you

Unfortunately, all the problems that I have chosen are end-of-chapter type problems, which means there are no hints. This is what the exam will be like.
