Fractional quantum Hall effect is one of the most challenging many-body problems. Using a bosonization technique, we argue that in for filling factors near 1/2, some quantities can be calculated reliably. In particular, we obtain analytic results for the static structure factor of the states in the Jain’s sequences near half-filling.
