11:00 am - 12:15 pm

Dear UMass INFORMS Community Members and Friends:

We are thrilled to announce the second talk of our Spring 2024 Speaker Series titled, “Scientists in the Crosshairs: Impacts of War, Crisis, and Conflict on Ukrainian Science,” organized by the UMass Amherst Student Chapter of INFORMS and its Faculty Advisor, Professor Anna Nagurney.

Dr. Ina Ganguli, Professor of Economics in the Economics and Management Departments at UMass Amherst, will give the talk. Dr. Ganguli will highlight key channels through which wars and crises have been shown to impact science. Her research highlights potentially effective ways to mitigate the impacts of war on science and ways to aid reconstruction.

The event will be held on Friday, February 23, from 11 AM to 12:15 PM at the Isenberg School Of Management Room N145. We welcome you to attend this in-person event and have attached a flyer with more details.

Please spread the word, and we hope to see you there. Thank you!

Sincerely,

UMass Amherst Student Chapter of INFORMS
