Dear UMass INFORMS Community,
We are thrilled to announce the first talk of our Fall 2023 Speaker Series, “Time And Effort In Coordinating Care For Patients With Complex Medical And Social Needs: Lessons From A Community-based Intervention,” organized by the UMass Amherst Student Chapter of INFORMS and its Faculty Advisor, Professor Anna Nagurney.
Dr. Hari Balasubramanian, Associate Professor of Industrial Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, will give the talk, in which he will discuss his ongoing collaboration with the Camden Coalition of Healthcare Providers, a New Jersey-based organization with significant experience, rich data, and national renown in the field of complex care. The talk will discuss the structure of the interventions, the results of a randomized control trial conducted by the Coalition, and a quantification of the effort needed by a multidisciplinary care team to assist patients.
The event will be held on Friday, September 22, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Isenberg School of Management N145. We invite you to attend this in-person event. Please don’t hesitate to share this announcement with others.
