Welcome! I am Professor of educational leadership and evaluation, Director of Program Evaluation for the Center for Educational Assessment, and Associate Director of the Center for Education Policy at UMass Amherst.

I teach undergraduate graduate courses and direct the UMass Program Evaluation Practice online certificate program. I serve on the editorial boards of the American Journal of Evaluation,  Evaluation and Program Planning, the SAGE Encyclopedia of Educational Research, Measurement and Evaluation, and the SAGE Encyclopedia of Research Design.

My mission is to work in partnership with organizational leaders, policy makers, and practitioners at local, regional, and global levels to design, implement and evaluate programs intended to advance excellence and equity in educational settings, and to support the contribution of evaluation to the generation of theory and knowledge about effective human action.
