“When people see the mural I can be like, “I was part of that”. I can remember that I did something good for my community.”
Nani always loved art, but didn’t know how to use her talents to improve her community. A community art program run out of Nueva Esperanza called El Arcoiris gave her the confidence to grow into a peer mentor, a mural artist and a valued community member. Nani was one of the people responsible for renovating Nueva Esperanza.
