1.1 Pre-Lesson Activity
Whether you are starting from scratch or whether you are someone that already uses 3D printing and modeling in your classroom, this module can work for you. Before we get started, let’s do a quick activity to see what you and other participants know about 3D printing and modeling.
Activity: Share Your 3D Printing and Modeling Knowledge
Activity Objective: Discuss what you know about 3D printing and modeling with other educators.
Activity Description: Choose one of two activities:
- Go to the 5W Board and add 1-2 post-it notes showcasing your 3D printing and modeling ideas and knowledge (make sure to scroll down on the page when adding a post-it note so you don’t cover up someone else’s note) (see the 5W board from the previous participants).
- Write a tweet about 1 thing you know about 3D printing and modeling using the hashtag #ARVR3D.
What surprised you from the responses on the 5W board or Twitter? Did you learn something new? Do you have more questions?
Now, let’s move from what you know to what you can do with 3D printing and modeling in the classroom. Ready for an adventure? Let’s go!
