Course Requirements and Sequencing
Generally, you should follow the course sequence on one of the curriculum forms below unless you have discussed a change with departmental academic advising. You can make an advising appointment using this link.

Credit Limit
As a student in SPHHS, you are limited to 19 credits. Remember that most independent studies, research assistantships, teaching assistantships, service learning projects, animal science, etc. will count towards this limit.
You can get permission to take more credits by emailing grost@umass.edu with your planned schedule.
If you do not secure permission to take extra credits before the end of drop-add, you will not be registered for all of the courses you want. Even registrations that are handled administratively (e.g., the professor says, “oh, we register you”) won’t go through if you have not secured a credit override.
